Jenna Fischer has become best known for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. For her part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was impressed by her mother's worship services when she first started out.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy. In Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in at the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer's friend from real life and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast was wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world every week. It had more than 200 million downloads during its first 2 years. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
The Actor's Life was her first novel, and details the journey she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actress professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her closest friend, and their experience working in The Office.
