Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy in Domme. She was encouraged by her parents, a dentist, and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her passion for the theatre. This contrasted her earlier ambition to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was a fan of monkeys. As a young woman the rise to fame was rapid and marked with initial recognition and success. When she finished her education She was a part of the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a career as an actress. Tautou studied at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer as a young girl and was educated Catholic. She is now separating herself from the Catholic tradition. She pursued a modelling career in addition to her acting work and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting profession she is also interested in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection images in Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival, under the title Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her emergence on the scene as Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her debut role as a lead character in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across the globe. It's the biggest French language film to ever be released to be released in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of film productions ranging that ranged from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
